Project: Colorado Data Engine is an open-source relational database and Restful API library that unlocks neighborhood scale public data in a standardized, geolocated format.
The project was supported by a highly competitive Knight Foundation Community Information Challenge grant with joint local matching funds by the clients.
Role: Project management and community engagement services.
Challenge: Managed remote multidisciplinary teams of developers, product manager and usability expert creating a custom Drupal with a complex data architecture structure. Grant-funded, proof of concept project led by nonprofit sector with no experience in software development.
