Project: Develop a simple framework for users to create a persuasive and audience-centric narrative arc to explain community projects.
Client: Multiple clients have used this method, including The Piton Foundation, The Denver Foundation and the Colorado Library Consortium.
Role: Communications and community engagement consultation.
Challenge: Too few communication projects take into account the audience’s needs. Information about great social endeavors often get lost in “book report” formats that are boring, fail to connect on an emotional level and lack a logical next step in the call to action.
The method also needed to be accessible to people with a broad range of communication levels, from non-professional writers to non-native English speakers. Likewise, the framework had to be adaptable enough to use with text, data, video and/or audio storytelling.
